Red Shores and play on a screen
The two Red Shores halls are places you walk into, in Charlottetown and Summerside, not websites you open on a phone. Online casino play on the island runs under its own rules, and this page lays them out straight.

The island's rules for online play
alc.ca is the provincially regulated option for playing casino games online on Prince Edward Island. It is operated by Atlantic Lottery on behalf of the PEI Lotteries Commission, which is the provincial body in charge of gaming. Owned jointly by the four Atlantic provinces, Atlantic Lottery also runs both Red Shores halls. Players must be 19 or older, the minimum age Atlantic Lottery sets to buy, play or cash in any of its products.
Private online casinos get no licence or registration of any kind here. In its gambling strategy for 2023 to 2028, the province describes offshore online casinos as having no power to run gaming on PEI. Atlantic Lottery goes further. In its words, outside gambling sites may not lawfully run or advertise anywhere in Atlantic Canada, and a foreign licence makes no difference.
The Ad links on the home page
Only the home page of this guide carries paid links, three of them, each tagged Ad. All three go to the same private online casino, which pays the guide when readers open an account there. That partner may be swapped later. That company stands on its own: it is not alc.ca, and Red Shores, Atlantic Lottery and the Lotteries Commission have no part in it.
Under the provincial position above, a private site like that has no authority in PEI. The choice to use it is yours, made with open eyes. Every game is built with a house edge, so over many plays players as a whole give back more than they take home. Play responsibly, wherever you play.
Breaks on a screen
alc.ca has breaks of its own. A short one runs from 1 to 90 days, and a long one runs 6, 12, 24 or 36 months. Neither can be undone early. A Take a Break button also sits on its betting screens.
Break in Play, the Red Shores self-exclusion, is about the gaming floors at both halls; for alc.ca, its own breaks above apply. A short Break in Play runs 30, 60 or 90 days; a long one runs 6, 12, 24 or 36 months. PlayWise Advisors take calls at 902-620-4267.

What sits behind the Ad tags on the home page?
Three paid links lead to one private online casino, which pays the guide when readers open an account there. It is not alc.ca or Red Shores, and it may be swapped later.

Break in Play covers the gaming floors at both Red Shores halls. alc.ca runs its own breaks, so set one there as well if you play online.
